About

Who am I?

I am a 26 years old metamorphic petrologist currently doing PhD at the university of Bern (Switzerland) under the supervision prof. Jörg Hermann. I am interested by incorporation and retention of water in nominally anhydrous minerals such as garnet and clinopyroxenes. I investigate water content using Fourrier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and ionic microprobe (SIMS,SHRIMP). The FTIR facility we have in Bern is dedicaced to geology and allow various measurements, including high resolution mapping: up to 2.8 µm for transmission measurement and 1 µm for pseudo-reflection with Germanium crystal (ATR-objective).
